Each summer, our lilies come alive with beautiful white leaves and sunny yellow centers. Lilies open around 9am and close in the mid-afternoon. The large lily pads provide shade for our fish below. The lilies bring a sense of meditative calm to the Eminence Organic Skin Care lily pond – which just happens to be one of the busiest creature features on the organic farm.

You’ll hear ribbits from our frogs all day long at the farm. Generations of frog families that have grown up here – from egg, to tadpole, this bright green frog we found keeping watch over his lily pond home. Be sure and walk softly and silently. These frogs hop back underwater at the slightest sight of you! Our photographer sat still for over fifteen minutes to capture this shot of our camera-shy host.

Ever wonder how lily flowers begin? Here’s a gorgeous lily seed pod floating above the water. Nature’s amazing design keeps the lily seeds safe, then releases the seeds when ready. The seeds then fall into the water and sink deep into the hearty mud of the pond below. Then, the seeds grow up into a new colony of water lilies.
