Chicken Coop
Behind this fence is our chicken yard, chicken coop and hen house. Each post stands 4 feet tall (a safe height for chickens) and is hand-carved with a diamond. The corners of the diamonds represent North, South, East and West – the four directions chickens love to run. We don’t have chickens on our farm just yet, but we can’t wait to welcome a bevy of beautiful chicks, hens and a rooster – of course.

Two Types of Homes
Creating a home for chickens was a top priority for us. With these traditional buildings, chickens can choose their most comfortable space. Whether they prefer an open, airy house or a cool, dry and warm coop, they’ll live happily in this natural environment.
Clay & Straw Design
The traditional building method of straw and clay creates a lasting home. Straw interior insulates warmth during winter months, while the clay exterior reflects the summer sun’s hot rays. Some chickens can jump high! We built this chicken perch into the coop for our more athletic birds.

Flower Emblem
This four-petaled, hand-carved flower is a simplified sunflower motif. Each petal points towards a cardinal direction, honoring the Eastern sunrise, the Western sunset, and the movement of the Earth around the sun.
